Wood goblins are among the most common type of goblinoids. Wood goblins average about four feet in height and are slight of build. They are hairless and their skin tone is pallid and sallow. Wood goblin’s eyes have no iris, just an enormous pupil. They see as well in dark conditions as their enemies, the dwarves. Their brows feature a pronounced ridge, and males have vestigal tusks.
Generally, wood goblins will stick to the grove or stand of woods in which they dwell, preying only upon creatures that venture into their territory. Under unusual circumstances, however, wood goblins will engage in raiding behavior. They do not take slaves, though they will often capture other humanoids live to keep them fresh until they are ready to slaughter their victims for food.
